We're having a "fun day" this Saturday to pull a few weeds and talk about future plans. If you have an edible plant you'd like to add, bring it with you!

Bring a chair, some food to share if you want, water to keep hydrated, gardening gloves, and your ideas.

Bring your kids, too. We’ve had children as young as three years old help out, and we’ve had high school and college students as well young adults, middle aged adults, and some who are a bit older. This is a multi-generational, multicultural effort.

We hope to see you Saturday. If you have questions, feel free to contact me at [email protected]. And check us out (and “like” us) on Facebook: www.facebook.com/CentralCoastGreenTeam

SB CAN invites you to a very special musical/political entertainment!
LEGENDARY TROUBADOUR CHARLIE KING RETURNS TO SANTA BARBARA

CharlieKing-002.jpg
$10 contribution at the door
Granada Books, 1224 State Street, Santa Barbara

Charlie King is a musical storyteller and political satirist. He has been at the heart of American folk music for half a century. He sings and writes passionately about the extraordinary lives of ordinary people.

His songs have been sung by Pete Seeger, Holly Near, Ronnie Gilbert, John McCutcheon, Arlo Guthrie, Peggy Seeger, Chad Mitchell and Judy Small. His political musical influences are the folk music revival of the 1960’s, and the protest songs of the Civil Rights and Vietnam War era.

“With encouraging regularity, Charlie King emerges from his self-reflection to remind us of the happy resilience of the human spirit. His message songs vary between the funny and the frightening, but he pulls them off with unvarying taste, musical skill, and charm.”
Billboard

“One of the finest singers and songwriters of our time.”
Pete Seeger
