Congressmember Salud Carbajal will join us, and we will hear about a proposal to develop the Solomon Hills south of Orcutt at separate upcoming Roundtable meetings.
On Friday next week, we will hear from Congressmember Salud Carbajal. He will discuss the status of the infrastructure bill, voting rights, the current oil issues in our region, and other relevant measures. We will also hear updates from members. The following week, on Thursday Nov. 4, we will hear a presentation regarding a proposal to develop hundreds of homes on the Solomon Hills between Orcutt and Los Alamos. The owner proposes to abandon some oil wells and create a self-sustaining community on 2,000 acres. They are looking for community input, so please share your thoughts and questions.
We will also hear from People's Self Help Housing about their proposed project to build affordable housing at the Santa Maria Hi-Way Drive In.
