Show up for housing affordability in Santa Maria this week and next week. The Santa Maria Housing Element Update is underway. This process will help determine housing policy in Santa Maria for the next nine years.
The City of Santa Maria is hosting Fair Housing workshops this week and next week to hear from community members what they would like to see in the Housing Element Update.
Workshops:
- Thursday, November 3, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m., Santa Maria Public Library, Shepard Hall, 421 South McClelland Street

The main points to be uplifted are that housing is becoming increasingly unaffordable in Santa Maria and it needs to be addressed by the council.
