Santa Barbara County Action Network and Creek Lands Conservation are inviting members of the community to join them in testing the quality of the water in the Santa Maria River.

We have posted a video online that explains how to do the water quality testing and why it is important. Find the video here:              https://youtu.be/bEWnu2SUH8Q

On Monday, Oct. 16, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be an online meeting for people to drop in to find out more about the Water Team. Sign up here and we'll send you the link on the day of the event.

On Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon, Water Team volunteers will meet at Preisker Park in Santa Maria and walk together to a testing site in the riverbed. CLC Restoration Hydrologist Tim Delany will lead the training.

Please let us know your interest by checking the boxes on this page. We'll get back to you with more information as we get closer to the dates.
