The City of Santa Maria is in the process of updating their General Plan. Currently, they are soliciting feedback on their Land Use Alternative Plans, which will determine how and where the City grows in the future.
The alternatives are: Annexation, Infill, and Hybrid. SBCAN supports alternative B, which is focused on infill development and does not allow for annexation of prime agricultural land into the City.
