To start an exploration of the complex issues involved in our housing crisis, the League of Women Voters Santa Barbara (LWVSB) invites you to complete this Pre-Forum Survey.
The Community Forum “South Coast Housing 2030: Coming Together Now” will be held on Zoom Wednesday, March 16 (noon-1:30 p.m.). REGISTER HERE
The forum will feature the following presentations followed by Q & A:
● Stanley Tzankov (CAUSE and SB Tenants Union) and Nadia Abushanab (SBCAN and SB Tenants Union) will present data and stories from the Renter Perspective.
● Rob Fredericks will update us on Affordable Housing News from the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara
● The feasibility for development on publicly owned land identified by the AIA-SB Charette and the LWVSB ‘Walk and Talks’ will be explored.
● SB County Affordable Housing News will be presented by John Polanskey, Dir. of Housing Development, Housing Authority of the County of SB and Jennifer McGovern from the Housing Trust of SB County will cover resources for new home buyers and 3D printed home example in Goleta.
