Truth Act Forum at BOS on Tues, Oct. 18

Please see this message from our partners at CAUSE and the 805 Immigrant Coalition about the Truth Act forum next week. 
 
 
The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors has planned the next TRUTH Act Forum for Tuesday, 10/18, tentatively around 2pm (at the end of the Board of Supervisors Meeting agenda). You can register to join here (to give public comment, register for Agenda Item #3). This is the annual meeting in which our County Sheriff's Office has to report on any collaborative activity with ICE. We were not made aware of the TRUTH Act Forum until the end of last week, and so we are scrambling to organize local advocates to join the meeting.
 
The 805 Immigrant Coalition will host a virtual advocate planning meeting on Monday, 10/17 at 6pm. At this meeting we will discuss talking points and strategy. Please join us then using the Zoom link below.
